Winchester Mk3 taxi c. 1969: Registration number AMP6 18H

Winchesters were introduced as London taxi’s during the 1960s. Production on the Mk1 started in 1963 with the last Mk3 rolling off the production line in 1973. The vehicle had fibreglass bodywork, the first cab in London to do so. This particular model was run on either or petrol or liquefied propane which was contained in a 85 litre tank in the boot.
