Gallium phosphide crystal lamps (H4), as illustrated in Doc. A3, designed for a film-marker application, part of early light emitting diodes, manufactured at Services Electronics Research Laboratory, England, 1960-1969. Many of the devices here are from a batch from 1962 rejected because of an error in the epoxy mixing, resulting in the encapsulation remaining sticky.
