Pye type D10 Photicon camera tube with scanning coils in fitted wooden box, Ser. No. 2140, 1958-1950.

Photicon (Pye Mk I) cameras were used in the BBC's television studio G at Lime Grove. Similar in design and operation to the Super Emitron, Pye's Photicon tube came complete with its scan and focus coils attached. It was claimed that the tube unit could be quickly changed by non-engineering staff (cameramen). No cameras have survived.
