RCA 3" Image Orthicon television camera tube (in fitted wooden box), 1948-1960.

The Image Orthicon was developed by RCA and later built under licence by EEV (English Electric Valve) and EMI. Used in the Pye MKIII camera and very early Marconi MKIII (which were all retrofitted with the 4 1/2" tube).
