Cinema Products CP16/A 16mm Film Camera, Ser. No. 172-A, 1972. Used by cameraman Eric Thirer for BBC TV News. Used by him in the Cambodian & Vietnam wars. Also used in East Africa - notably to cover the overthrow of Idi Amin (Uganda 1979) and the 1980 Liberian Coup.
It has a compact magnesium alloy body, a crystal-locked drive system, interchangeable lenses, and a magnetic audio system with a built-in mixer that records onto special pre-striped 16mm single perforation magnetic sound film. It accepts both the Mitchell and Cinema Products 400 foot film magazines, and runs at 25 frames per second.
