The "Ormond" air-spaced radio tuning condenser/capacitor, 1922-1932. New (in original packaging) - sold to home-constructors. Because anything associated with radio in the 1920s was horrendously expensive it was common practice to construct your own radio set from a components like this. Ormond Engineering Co Ltd were based in London and made complete radio sets as well as many varieties of components including loudspeakers.
