Murphy B143 Portable Radio Receiver, 1949. The first post-war battery portable made by Murphy. Broadcast (MW) and Long Wave. The price in the UK was £17.15.0 without batteries. Uses 5 valves: 1F3, 1C1, 1F3, 1FD9, 1P10. External antenna required. The cabinet design was by David Ogle, also known for the Bush MB60/TR82/VTR103 cabinet designs. One of the valves inside it is broken. Many scratches on paint. Dented brackets on handles.
