GEC 'Overseas Ten' (model BC4010/18) table-top radio receiver.

This domestic broadcast receiver was designed for the overseas market. 10 valves, twin loudspeaker. Wave bands include MW, LW, & three SW bands. The BBC Research Department conducted tests on an identical GEC 'Oveseas Ten' radio in May 1945. (See BBC R&D Report No. G. 026.) One of the BBC engineers remarks in the report that, "it is a very good 'station getter' but it is somewhat limited in the treble range, the tone sounding rather woolly".
