Studer A80 Master Audio Tape Recorder, 1970-1978.

A high-quality stereo unit used by the BBC as a mastering machine and main studio recorder. The A80 has a sturdy tape transport mechanism, integrated logic control, electronically controlled tape tension, electronic sensing of tape motion and direction, electronic tape timing, electronic speed control, and plug-in amplifier modules.
