OBA/8 Outside Broadcast amplifier, 1938. Full BBC number is OBA/8/737. The OBA/8 was developed for radio outside broadcasts in the late 1930s. It was used extensively for both radio and early TV OBs and continued in service well after its successor (OBA/9) was introduced.
