STC 4104-A (BBC Type L) lip microphone in fitted case, 1937-1947. Mic. Ser. No.123, equaliser Ser. No. 97.

A very early example of the "commentator's lip microphone" - a specially designed noise-cancelling ribbon microphone used by commentators in noisy environments. Includes type 110-LTA-69A equaliser, and stamped under the lid is 430-LTD-3A.
