Pye B18C television receiver from Alexandra Palace (ex-Open University), 1949-1950.

These home market receivers were used by the BBC as television broadcast monitors. In some cases, they were even painted grey and equipped with viewing tunnels to shield out ambient light. This one is equipped with large wheels.
