EMI TR90 Audio Tape Recorder

EMI TR90 ¼” audio tape recorder in a console, uses the TR 90 tape transport. Runs at 7½” and 15" per second. These recorders were built from 1957-1962, starting at a price of £625. EMI machines where the industry standard and were used all around the world about 1970 when Studer introduced their C37 and their first transistorised machine, the A62. A number of these machines were used by the BBC, including its famous Radiophonic Workshop.
