Link 125 camera head, 1981.
The Link 125 is a three-tube colour camera with an integral Varotal zoom lens. These cameras were used mainly in the UK by the BBC and some ITV stations.
A camera head houses the image collection section of the camera. On this camera, light is focussed by the lens onto the face of the pick up device, after it has been split into Red Green and Blue for use in the colour system. The electrical signal is then amplified to a form which can be distributed to a vision mixer.
