Band-Aid is a trademark of the company Johnson & Johnson but has also become a name used for adhesive bandages.

Developed in 1920, the Band-Aid was the idea of employee Earle Dickson (1893-1961) who noticed his wife often cut her finger and needed help to put on a bandage.
