Lithograph, view of the London and Birmingham Railway when in course of construction by J. C. Bourne, published 1839. ‘Blisworth Cutting’. Image shows the cutting with rocks on either side and a locomotive running through it. A man stands behind the locomotive with a white flag. There are two lines of tracks and a bridge over the cutting. Published as plate XXV ‘View in the deep cutting near Blisworth, looking south, with a train passing. October 1838’, in ‘Drawings of the London and Birmingham Railway, by J. C. Bourne, with an historical and descriptive account by John Britton’, London : J. C. Bourne; Ackermann & Co.; C.
