A hand-coloured daguerreotype of a young child, taken by J Paul in about 1850. Little girl (?) full-length seated. Wearing blue dress and necklace. Fully coloured gilt on necklace. Tarnished at edges. Red Morocco leather case with chequered pattern and scrolls. Two latches. Lined with red plush, grape motif in centre. Rectangular mat with domed top. Inscribed 'J Paul Daguerrean Artist'.
