Robert Hooke's bestseller 'Micrographia', published in 1665, presented intriguing illustrations of everyday objects, which revealed details too small to be seen with the naked eye. This 1920s replica of one of the microscopes Hooke used while writing is faithful to the description and drawing contained in the book.
