Low-frequency electrotherapy apparatus, cased, without cell, owned by Dr. P.F. Gachet (1828-1909), French, 1850-1880. Contains 2 electropuncture needles, brush, rectal electrode, 2 big electrodes, small coil, 2 insulated wires, and interrupter, all in neat compact case. Also contain's Gachet's own prescription stamp, which reads (in reverse): 'Docteur | P.F. Gachet | 9. Rue Montholon | de 9. heures a 3.'
