Postcard advertising ‘Trans Frau’, a Trans Pride party held on Saturday 27th July, collected by a young transgender individual during Trans Pride in Brighton, 2013.
This postcard advertises ‘Trans Frau’ a Trans Pride party held during Brighton’s Trans Pride event in 2013. This was the UK's first pride event for transgender individuals which ran in conjunction with Pride week in Brighton. It was collected and donated by a young transgender individual participating within a temporary exhibition project at the Science Museum titled "What makes your gender?" in 2013, curated by a group of fifteen young transgender individuals working in partnership with the charity Gendered Intelligence. It was collected to represent themes of trans culture and community.
