Prosthetic bum pads, made by Charlie Craggs, transgender activist, United Kingdom, c. 2013. Bum and hip enhancing pads can be used to change the outward shape of the body. These were donated to represent an aspect of gender identity expression.
Prosthetic bum pads are designed to change the outward shape of an individual's body. These were made and used by the transgender activist, Luke Charlie Craggs, around 2013.
This object was donated following its display within a temporary exhibition at the Science Museum titled "What makes your gender?" in 2013, curated by a group of fifteen young transgender individuals working in partnership with the charity Gendered Intelligence.
