This control box, (controls exposure and camera speed), was used with an astronomical camera was made by the DATA Corporation in the USA in around 1965.

Until the early 1970s the camera was used by the Astronomy Department of Manchester University to measure the libration of the moon. This research was under the direction of Professor Kopal and carried out in the Pyrnees.
