Lathe, made by Carver, Manchester. Overhung head and tail stocks on pair of slides at back. Saddle for tool post is om two more slides in front. Traversing moion for saddle is driven by leather belt so it cannot be used for screw cutting. Embossed label on side: "Carver Manchester"
