Maker's plate of Buckley & Taylor, Oldham, 1903.

Buckley and Taylor were established in 1861 and had premises at Castle Ironworks, Oldham. They mainly produced mill engines. Nameplates like this one are sometimes all that remains of engines built by such firms, the engine having been broken up when replaced with newer technology.
