'Universal Special B' box magazine camera made by Newman and Guardia, London in around 1900. Quality camera of the late 19th, early 20th century. Made in various models the Special Pattern B was the most famous of the 'Universals'. Historically important, this is the same make and model that Herbert Ponting chose to take with him on Captain Scott's expedition to the South Pole in 1912.
