Harrild & Sons Printing Press

Albion hand printing press; main body of press stands on two castings each with two feet and patterned castings. The type is placed on a moving bed which slides horizontally under the press. A lever, pulled horizontally, causes the plate to descend. A tensioning device is contained in the casting at the top, which is also ornate.

Made by Harrild & Sons, London, c.1870. No 2796.
