John “Jack” Ephraim Sibbit 1895–1950. Skilled bicycle builder and member of the Manchester Wheelers he was a regular favourite at the Fallowfield track. By the age of 41 he held twelve national titles including tandem sprints as well as an Olympic silver medal in 1928.

Wheel from racing bicycle, made by Jack Sibbit. Front forks are non-standard, having been replaced by first and only owner, as the originals were not strong enough to deal with the state of Manchester roads.
