Crookes' discharge tube with a watering can feature on a turned mahogany stand, 1870-1920.

This tubes contain a miniature glass watering can shape within a bulb-shaped partially evacuated Crooke's discharge tube, and was used for demonstratring fluorescence under cathode ray bombardment.
