Gamma dose rate meter made by Nuclear Enterprises Ltd, Reading, c.1970s

A Gamma Dose Rate Survey Meter made by Nuclear Enterprises Ltd. of Reading in the 1970s. Monitoring of radiation in the workplace within the nuclear industry is essential. This meter was used to monitor gamma radiation. Gamma radiation is extremely dangerous as it can penetrate the body and cause damage to internal organs.
