Avro tool tokens on a keyring. One of these would be handed to the storeman by a worker at an Avro factory in exchange for a specific tool. When the tool was returned, the storeman would return the token. This allowed the storeman to monitor which tools

were in the care of which workman, and allowed the workman to prove that the tool had been returned.
