Draw frame sliver auto stop device

This automatic stop device was for use on a draw frame textile machine.

It was used to stop the draw frame machine when a break in the sliver occurred, preventing tangling. When the sliver of cotton fibres passed continuously through the device, it remained in a horizontal position. When the tension was interrupted by a breakage in the sliver, the stop device sprung upwards, stopping the machine.
