Imagine needing an electrical adapter for every place you visit in the UK. In 1930s Britain electricity suppliers generated power at different voltages in different towns. William Hawkrigg Lord was a regular traveller and came up with an ingenious personal solution. He designed a travel case containing every plug used in Britain at the time.
