Stop-motion animation puppet used in the making of 'Sally and Jake' which featured in the children's television programme 'Rainbow' in the early 1970s; the character was called Harry

This is a puppet of Harry and is from the animation piece 'Sally and Jake', which was one of the regularly featured pieces on Childrens television programme 'Rainbow'. This production was significant, because this commission enabled Mark Hall and Brian Cosgrove to leave Granada and set up their first company, Stop Frame Films. The donor and maker, Bridget, also left Granada to join this new company in the early 1970s. Multiples of this puppet were made, but this was one of the first ones.
