More
Electrifying vehicles can cut carbon emissions, but drivers need somewhere to charge them. Half of charging happened at home in the early 2020s.
Elektromotive first installed these charging posts in Westminster, London, in 2006. By 2009 there were around 100 across the city.
A growing network of chargers has helped make the technology more useful for longer journeys, although many more will be needed in future.
