Walter Gee worked for Richard Johnson & Nephew from 1939 until his retirement on February 15th 1980. This presentation item was likely made in the Bradford Iron Works, Forge Lane, Manchester, where Richard Johnson & Nephew had their factory. The City of Manchester stadium was built on the site of the demolished Bradford Iron Works.
