The ‘Bidoyng’ smart fuse is one of several smart technologies installed on the electricity network in north west England. If the primary fuse in the unit blows, a secondary fuse automatically deploys. It also communicates information about faults to the network control centre. This helps prevent power cuts and improves service to customers.
