Three way junction box for 7/029 cables.
Part of the Bob Gray collection of electrical objects.
Junction boxes are used to join lengths of cable. This can be for the purpose of either extending or diverting multiple lengths of wiring. Rather than simply joining two lengths of cable, this junction box is for specialist use and is designed to house three lengths of cable. The junction box is made of bakeline and the top surface says "Reg'd "Rock"". Junction boxes are still used today and are generally made of moulded plastic.
