Electrostatic generator with Nairne-type cylinder, 1845-1855.

This electrostatic friction generator Nairn cylinder type was made in the nineteenth century. The cylinder is mounted on a wooden base, the cylindrical jar can be moved by rotating a handle on the side of the apparatus.
