Thermionic tetrode valve together with original box.

Cylindrical valve with straight, sloping sides and shouldered near the top. The base has seven pins and a central stem. The inside of the bulb is coated obscuring much of the electrode mechanism. The six terminal wires are embedded in the base pinch and reach through to the pins. The bottom of the valve is silvered. Acid etched onto the side of the valve; The Marconiphone Co. Ltd. BVA Marconi KT66, Made in England. 1075 KCI (faded).

The box, which is red, black and white, is marked Marconi Valve, trade mark of the Marconiphone Co. Ltd., made in England.
