Case: upright rectangular box with leather handle and lift-off lid.

Bulb: Very large, pear shaped bulb with Goliath Edison screw cap and a coiled wire filament mounted in vertical zig-zag in a horizontal semi-circle on six supports rising from a central column. Includes two discs to prevent circulation of hot gas. The stem houses an exhaust tube.
