Motorola L7089 mobile phone, manufactured by Motorola, British, 1999-2002.

The Motorola L7089 was the first 2G tri-band mobile phone. This meant that it was the first phone that was able to work on the three different radio frequencies that were used for mobile phone coverage in Europe and the USA. This was particularly important for business users, as it meant they could use the same phone while travelling all over the world.
