Gelatin silver print entitled 'Mr & Mrs Thomas lived with their 3 children in a single room in a multi-let house in Mulgrave Street. The two boys slept in a bed made from 2 small armchairs one at each end. As they grew she pulled the chairs further apart and laid a board between them'.
