My Favourite Picture Of All My Works. My Niece Julia
A photographic portrait of Julia Jackson (1846-1895), taken by her aunt, Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879), in April 1867. Entitled 'My Favourite Picture Of All My Works. My Niece Julia'. This albumen print forms part of the Herschel Album, created by Cameron for her friend Sir John Herschel (1792-1871).Julia Jackson married the barrister Herbert Duckworth who died in 1870. She then married Sir Leslie Stephen the editor of The Dictionary of National Biography. Tthey had four children, including the future Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf.
