A black and white photograph taken by Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert in Albania about 1990. 'Born in Southern Albania in 1908 Enver Hoxha became the First Secretary of the Albanian Communist Party in November 1941 and the President of the People's Republic of Albania in 1946, positions he was to hold until his death in 1985. Now as Albania rejects Marxist-Leninist Communism in favour of democracy and capitalism, his statues and other memorials have beeen removed from public display and abandoned - such as the one photographed here in an iron foundry in a rundown area of Tirana.'
