A black and white photograph taken by Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert in Albania about 1990. 'Ramia Alia, hand picked by Enver Hoxha to continue the path of Marxist-Leninist Communism in Albania took up the post of First Secretary of the Party on Hoxha's death, and in March 1992 after bringing the country out of its self imposed isolation, he resigned 2 days after the parliamentary elections which had swept the Democartic Party to power. Photographed in his daughter's apartment in Tirana where, "he's not exactly in hiding, but he doesn't go out very often," according to one of his bodyguards.'
