A photographic portrait entitled 'Marie Spartali', taken by Julia Maraget Cameron (1815-1879) in 1868. The eldest daughter of a Greek-born businessman, Marie Spartali (1843-1927) was an artist's model and watercolourist. After studying with the Pre-Raphaelite painter Ford Madox Brown (1821-1893), she exhibited her work at the Royal Academy from 1871. Albumen print.
