Sir John Herschel
A photographic portrait entitled 'Sir John Herschel', taken by Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879) in April 1867. Contact print from wet collodion negative. This albumen print is the first print of the Herschel Album and was taken at Herschel's home in Collingwood. The album was created by Cameron as a gift for Sir John Herschel (1792-1871), her close friend.
