Photograph entitled 'Henry Halford Vaughan' taken by Julia Margaret Cameron in 1864. Albumen contact print from wet collodion negative. This photographic portrait of Henry Halford Vaughan (1811-1895) forms part of the Herschel Album, created by Cameron for her friend Sir John Herschel (1792-1871). Vaughan, who was married to Cameron's niece, Adeline, was Regius Professor of Modern History at Oxford.
