Photograph entitled 'No 3, Life Sized Heads' taken by Julia Margaret Cameron in 1866. Albumen contact print from wet collodion negative. This photographic study of William Frederick 'Freddy' Gould (born 1861) forms part of the Herschel Album, created by Cameron for her friend Sir John Herschel (1792-1871). This study forms part of a series of 'Life sized heads' of five-year-old-children. There were two series produced. Freddy Gould and Alice Jessie Keown (born 1861) are two known sitters in the series.
