Photograph entitled 'My Son Eugene Of The RA' taken by Julia Margaret Cameron in about 1867. Albumen contact print from wet collodion negative. This photographic portrait of Eugene Cameron (1840-1885) forms part of the Herschel Album, created by Cameron for her friend Sir John Herschel (1792-1871). Eugene was the eldest of Cameron's five sons. He joined the Royal Artillery at the age of fourteen.
